The Illini Swing Society is thrilled to bring a Balboa Workshop to Urbana-Champaign! This 1-day Workshop will feature classes with our guest instructor, Desiree Roffers, who is teaching with our own Ann Sychterz! Plus an evening social dance to follow with our guest DJ, Sam Zorich.
Balboa is a partner swing dance which first began in LA (in Southern California), gaining in popularity in the 1930s/1940s. We are excited to bring this to our scene!
WORKSHOP CLASSES: 3 Registration Options
(a) BEGINNER Balboa Bundle - Includes TWO Classes ($24):
Class 1: 1:30 - 2:30 level: Introductory Balboa
Class 2: 2:45 - 3:45 level: Introductory Balboa
*No prior experience needed
(b) ALL LEVEL Balboa ($14)
Class 3: 4:00 – 5:00 level: All Level Balboa
*Class 3 Criteria: Taken Class 1-2 and/or prior Balboa Experience
(c) Register for all 3 classes (discount): $35
